Seven destinations. One team that picks up the phone.

Everyone has a trip they keep putting off. Maybe it's a family wedding in Kingston, a graduation in Toronto, a honeymoon on the other side of the world, or a long-promised visit to friends in Texas. The hard part usually isn't deciding to go. It's wading through fares, stopovers and baggage rules to work out what's actually a good deal.

That's where we come in. BookForYou is a UK flight specialist focused on long-haul travel. We compare the options for your dates, explain them in plain English, and ticket the trip once you're happy. Below you'll find each destination we cover, what the flight is really like, when to go, and what to watch for. Skim to the one you care about, or read on and let your next trip find you.

Flights to Jamaica

Flights to Jamaica are the easy yes. About ten hours on a direct service, then warm sea, mountain waterfalls and food you'll talk about for weeks. Fly into Montego Bay for resorts and Negril's sunsets, or into Kingston for music, art and the Blue Mountains. Many travellers land in one and head home from the other, which saves a long drive across the island.

Winter is dry, busy and expensive. May and early November are calmer and kinder to your budget. Stretching out on the way? Look at business class to Jamaica.

UK to Canada flight

A UK to Canada flight can lead to a dozen different holidays. Toronto for theatre and Niagara, Montreal for cobbled streets with a French accent, Vancouver for mountains and ocean in one afternoon, Calgary for Banff and Lake Louise. Flying time is friendly: around eight hours to Toronto, nine to Calgary and nine and a half to Vancouver.

Summer is hiking season and peak price. September and October bring autumn colour and better fares. UK travellers normally need an eTA first, and we'll remind you. See also business class to Canada.

Flight to Australia

Let's be honest: a flight to Australia is long, around 22 to 24 hours to Sydney or Melbourne with one stop and 17 to 18 hours to Perth. The trick is to break it up. A few nights in a city on the way splits the journey in two and gives you a bonus destination, often for little extra.

Remember the seasons are flipped. December to February is summer and peak prices, March to May is the sweet spot. Flying a long way in one go? Compare business class to Australia too.

Flights to Dubai

Flights to Dubai take around seven hours, which makes it one of the easiest long-haul escapes from the UK. Think glass towers, desert dunes, beach days and some of the best shopping and dining anywhere. It's also a brilliant stopover city if you're heading further on, such as a flight to Australia, because you can pause for a couple of nights and see something new.

Winter, from November to March, is pleasantly warm. Summer is very hot, but hotel prices drop. Fancy a calmer cabin? Take a look at business class to Dubai.

Flights to London

People book flights to London for all sorts of reasons: visiting family, a long weekend of theatre and museums, a business trip, or the first stop on a wider European adventure. It's a city that rewards both first-timers and regulars, with royal parks, riverside walks, markets and more food from more countries than you could eat in a lifetime.

May to September is long days and outdoor life. Spring and autumn are quieter and often cheaper. Booking a premium cabin? See business class to London.

Flights to South America

Flights to South America open up a whole continent: Rio's beaches, Buenos Aires tango, Andean peaks, Amazon rainforest and the wild grasslands of Patagonia, where pumas still roam. Flight times are typically 11 to 14 hours depending on where you land, and a one-stop itinerary is common.

The continent is huge, so timing depends on where you go. November to March suits Patagonia and much of the south. We'll help you pick the right gateway and plan a route that doesn't waste days. Premium cabin? Try business class to South America.

Flights to USA

Flights to USA are some of the most popular we sell, and for good reason. New York in about eight hours, Florida for theme parks and sunshine, California for coast roads and the Southwest for red-rock canyons. It's a country that suits a city break, a family holiday or a two-week road trip equally well.

Spring and autumn usually balance weather with price. UK travellers need an ESTA before flying, and we'll point you to the official site. Want extra space? See business class to USA.

Which cabin suits your trip?

Same destination, very different journeys. Here's how we think about it, so you can decide where your money goes.

Economy

The sensible default for shorter hops like flights to Dubai or a UK to Canada flight to Toronto. Keep it simple, keep the fare low, and spend the savings on the trip.

Premium economy

A wider seat, more legroom and better service for a modest step up in price. A smart middle ground for flights to Jamaica and flights to South America.

Business class

Space to sleep and arrive refreshed. Worth pricing for the longest routes, especially a flight to Australia, and for special occasions where you want to start the holiday early.

How it works

  1. Tell us where

Share your destination, rough dates and who's travelling. Dates flexible? Tell us. It often saves money.

  2. We compare

We check fares, routes and cabins, and flag catches like tight connections, or baggage limits that swallow the saving.

  3. You choose

You'll get clear options with everything included. Take your time, ask questions, and pick the one that fits.

  4. We ticket the trip

Once you confirm, we issue your tickets and stay on hand right up until you're home again.

Why travellers book with BookForYou

Because a good booking is quiet. Nothing goes wrong, and if it does, someone sorts it.

We're not the loudest name in travel, and we don't want to be. We'd rather be the team you remember because your flights to Jamaica went smoothly, your UK to Canada flight landed on time for the party, and the person who booked your flight to Australia actually called back when you had a question about baggage.

That takes a few simple habits. We quote fares clearly, with what's included written down. We steer you away from connections that look cheap but ruin the first day of your holiday. We give honest opinions: if flights to Dubai are better as a stopover than a destination for your dates, we'll say so. And if you're weighing flights to London against a different city, we'll talk it through rather than push the first option.

It also helps that we focus on long-haul. Flights to South America and flights to USA have their own quirks, from entry requirements to the best gateways, and knowing them saves you time and worry. You'll never be handed a generic answer. You'll get one that fits your trip, your dates and your budget.

Seven ways to pay less on any route

1. Book earlier than feels necessary. For peak weeks, four to six months ahead is a comfortable window whether you're after flights to Jamaica, a UK to Canada flight or flights to USA.

2. Nudge your dates. Moving by a day or two, especially to midweek, can change the price more than you'd expect, on every destination from Dubai to Australia.

3. Travel in the shoulder months. Spring and autumn are often the sweet spot for flights to London and flights to USA, and May or early November suits Jamaica.

4. Accept a stop. A well-planned connection can be cheaper than a direct service, and on a flight to Australia it can give you a bonus city.

5. Think open-jaw. Flying into one city and home from another, say Vancouver in and Toronto out on a UK to Canada flight, often costs about the same as a standard return.

6. Pay for what you'll use. If you'll check a bag, add it up front. If you won't, don't. We'll help you work out which fare really suits you, including for flights to South America, where itineraries can be complex.

7. Ask us to compare cabins. Sometimes premium economy costs far less than you'd guess. Seeing economy, premium and business next to each other makes the decision easy, and the answer is occasionally a surprise.

Not sure where to begin? Send us your dates and we'll take it from there.

Mix and match your trips

One of the best-kept secrets of long-haul travel is that you don't have to pick just one place. A flight to Australia can include a few nights in Dubai on the way out. A UK to Canada flight can finish with a long weekend in New York on the way home. Flights to South America can start in one country and end in another, so you never double back.

These multi-city itineraries often cost much less than you'd expect, and they turn a single holiday into two. Tell us the places on your wish list and we'll price a few combinations side by side. You'll see exactly what each extra stop adds, and you decide what's worth it.

Travelling in a group, or planning something big like a wedding or milestone birthday? We handle that too, from keeping seats together to making sure everyone lands on the same day. Whatever the plan, get in touch and we'll build it around you.

Paperwork, without the panic

Nobody enjoys entry rules, but a few minutes of planning saves a lot of stress. Most of the countries on this page ask UK travellers for some form of authorisation before they fly, and the details change from time to time. As a rule of thumb, check your passport's validity first, then look up the official requirements for your destination.

For a UK to Canada flight that usually means an eTA. For flights to USA it's an ESTA. A flight to Australia needs an ETA, and it's worth applying early. Requirements for flights to Jamaica, flights to Dubai and flights to South America differ by country, so we'll always point you to the right official source rather than guess.

We also suggest sorting travel insurance when you book, not the week before you leave. A good policy covers medical care, delays and cancellations, which matters most on long-haul trips. And if you're travelling with children, check whether any extra documents are needed. Ask us whenever you're unsure, and we'll help you find the answer before it becomes a problem at the airport.

Frequently asked questions

Which destination has the shortest flight from the UK?

Flights to Dubai take around seven hours, and the east coast of the USA is about eight, as are Canada's eastern cities. Jamaica takes about ten hours, and Australia is the longest at 17 to 24 hours with a stop.

Can I combine two destinations in one booking?

Yes. Multi-city itineraries are one of our specialities, such as a flight to Australia with a stopover in Dubai, or a UK to Canada flight that ends with a few days in the USA. Tell us your ideas and we'll price them together.

Do I need a visa or travel authorisation for these trips?

It depends on the country. UK passport holders typically need an eTA for Canada, an ESTA for the USA and an ETA for Australia, while rules for Jamaica, Dubai and South American countries vary. Always check official government websites before you travel.

When is the cheapest time to book flights to Jamaica or flights to USA?

Outside school holidays and peak seasons. For flights to Jamaica that often means May or early November, and for flights to USA it means the shoulder months of spring and autumn. Booking several months ahead helps in every season.

Is it better to book a direct flight or one with a stop?

Direct is quicker and simpler. A stop can be cheaper, and on routes like a flight to Australia it can break up the journey nicely. We show you both so you can choose.

Can I upgrade to premium economy or business class?

Yes. We quote economy, premium economy and business class side by side on every destination we cover, so you can see the real cost of extra space and sleep.

What are the best months for flights to South America?

For Patagonia and much of the southern continent, November to March is the sweet spot. Other regions have their own seasons, so tell us where you're headed and we'll advise on timing.

What if I need to change my booking?

It depends on the fare. Some tickets are flexible and some aren't. We explain the change and cancellation rules before you pay and can suggest a more flexible fare if your plans might shift.
